Sharing Password / Secret

Share an item with someone by generating a time-limited link.

Creating a share link

1. Open the item's More Options (⋯) menu and choose Share.
2. Set Share link validity: 1 Hour, 1 Day, 7 Days, 14 Days or 30 Days.
3. Optionally tick One time view so the link stops working after a single view.
4. Enter one or more email addresses under Share with. Separate multiple addresses with semicolons.
5. Generate the link.
6. Copy the Sharing URL using the Copy control.

Managing recipients

Shared With lists the addresses the item has been shared with, each with the date and a Remove control.

Restrictions

Your organization may restrict which email domains can receive shares. A disallowed address is reported as a validation error — this is a policy decision, not a failure, so check with your administrator rather than retrying.

What the recipient gets

The recipient opens the link in a browser and sees the shared value. They do not need an Akeyless account, and they do not gain access to anything else in your vault.
